casPad app for iPhone and iPad

casPad is a Computer Algebra System (CAS) and Graphical Calculator for your mobile device.

casPad has features similar to widely used handheld CAS calculators, but simplified to suit the needs of novice users. Some modified features are described below:

Main Screen
● commands are entered at the end of transcript
● history recall and editing with arrow keys
● line input mode (no 2D input for fractions, matrices and systems of equations)
● algebraic solver for linear, quadratic and cubic equations
● limited solver for 2 variable linear system of equations
● solvers do not allow restricted domain
● no support for user-defined functions and variables
● limited capabilities to transform expressions and equations
● limited matrix and vector support

Graph Screen
● up to two functions
● limited zoom and pan capability - y-axis is autoscaled
● limited graphical analysis

Sequences Screen
● up to two sequences
● use P to denote a(n-1)

Statistics Screen
● up to 20 data points
● 1-var, 2-var statistics and linear regression only
● no support for probability distributions (limited support for normal distribution is provided from the Main Screen)
● scatter/line graph support only

Finance Screen
● simple and compound interest only

Spreadsheet and Geometry applications are not provided as there are already very capable apps available for mobile devices
